Hanabi — A Fireworks Puzzle
Use one firework to open a path. Save the rest for the finale.
Hanabi is a small logic puzzle set in a quiet Japanese garden. Connect fuses, launch a firework to burn away a wooden crate, then use the opening to build your next connection.
The challenge is deciding what to use now and what to leave for the final display. Reach each stage's target number of fireworks in a row. Placing another piece resets that count; taking time to think does not.

Gameplay clip from an earlier build. The current version uses a nine-slot piece tray; the connection rules shown here still apply. The first two screenshots show the latest version.
Play in your desktop browser. No download or account is needed to play.
What's inside
- 30 handcrafted stages, including 20 new puzzles
- All fuse pieces visible from the start in a nine-slot tray
- No timer: plan at your own pace
- Undo placements and retry a stage
- English and Japanese
- Free, with no ads or in-app purchases
How to play
Select a fuse piece, then click an empty cell to place it. You can also drag pieces onto the board. Place a switch and click it to ignite the connected fuses.
Pieces cannot be rotated. Undo reverses placements made since the last ignition; it cannot reverse an ignition. If you need a fresh start, use Retry.
Your progress saves in this browser. It is not shared with other browsers or the Android version. Clearing site data may remove it.
Returning players: completed stages carry forward. Some old unfinished boards may need to be restarted because puzzles and the piece supply have changed.
Tell me about your playthrough
I'd love to hear which stage made you stop and think, and whether the fuse connections and controls felt clear. If something goes wrong, please include your browser, stage number, and what happened in a comment below.
Optional: help test the Android version
